I know it’s scary but don’t give up!
I have prepared peeled prawns and shrimps many times, but I was a bit scared to cook them whole. Even if I tried before and I have to admit that the cleaned version is not even close to the original one.
Yes, of course, I felt a bit disgusted the first time, but the taste was a huge reward for that, so just carry on!
If you feel very disgusted, maybe you shouldn’t carry on…
The remaining sauce is amazing with bread or toast because it’s full of flavour, all you have to do is winkle out the legs! 🙂
Orange and Chilli Prawns
- 500g whole fresh prawns
- juice of 1 orange
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 50g butter
- pinch of dried chilli
- sea salt and black pepper
Heat a large frying pan, then add the butter.
When hot, add the prawns with the garlic, ginger, and seasoning.
Pour in the orange juice and fry for 2 minutes on each side until the prawns turn pink.
