Chicken: the animal we eat before it’s born and after it’s dead.

Well, don’t be a chicken then, but you can prepare it anytime.

Chicken Paprikash

  • 4 pieces of chicken drumsticks
  • 4 pieces of chicken thighs
  • 4 pieces of chicken wings
  • 300 g mushrooms
  • 1 large Spanish onion
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper

In a large, deep saucepan heat the sunflower oil and add the chopped onion. Sauté gently for 4-6 minutes until soft and golden. Add the chopped bell pepper and sauté for 3 more minutes. Add the chicken meat, the sliced mushrooms and stir in the salt, pepper, and the paprika. Add the crushed garlic and cook for one hour until the meat is tender. Add the chopped parsley leaves.

Whisk together the flour, milk and sour cream in a bowl, and slowly add the mix to the paprikash.

Serve with mashed potatoes.
